A: Yes, and there are a ton of perfectly curated options.! I have clothing for mamas (sizes 0-16), shirts for Dad (small-XL), and the cutest outfits for children (ages 3 months-5yrs). You will have the opportunity to try options on during your planning consultation, or view and mark your favorite items online through a private wardrobe link.

A: I highly recommend these services for all portrait sessions including the mama. I work with the best hair and makeup artist and will share their info once your session is booked. The HMUA will do your hair and makeup in the comfort of your own home so that you can relax, be pampered, and feel beautiful on the day of your session. Hair and makeup is an additional charge (paid directly to the stylist). Hair and makeup with our preferred stylists range from $175-250 depending on the services and stylist available.

After your session, we will meet back at the studio where you will have the chance to view your images for the first time in print. I help and guide you in narrowing down your favorites, and help you choose artwork or files that suites your family best. This service is part of what makes AKP so special! I love offering a full service experience so that you can sit back, relax, and enjoy your beautiful artwork - without doing any of the work. All decision makers are asked be present for this appointment, as your order will be finalized at this time. If it's not possible for all to attend, please be sure to discuss your budget thoroughly before your appointment.

A: The design and ordering appointment is an integral part of the AKP experience, and part of what makes me different than other photographers! Over the years, I have found that it is usually significantly easier and more enjoyable for my clients to return to the studio to choose their products with my assistance. I know that scheduling can be difficult for clients who live over an hour away or have other circumstances. For this reason, I offer virtual appointments upon request. All clients receive online galleries after their ordering appointments, should they decide to purchase the digital files. All decision makers are asked be present for this appointment, as your order will be finalized at this time. If it's not possible for all to attend, please be sure to discuss your budget thoroughly before your appointment.

A: As soon as you know that you would like me to be your photographer, I recommend getting on the schedule! Maternity sessions are held between 28-32 weeks pregnant. Newborn sessions are typically completed within the first 21 days of life, on Tuesday or Thursday mornings. Maternity and Newborn sessions should be booked early in pregnancy to ensure availability. Sitter sessions are held when your baby can sit unassisted; usually around 6-8 months, but varies for each baby. I recommend scheduling family portraits yearly, 2-3+ months in advance.

A: When you reserve your newborn session you will reserve a date for the week following your due date. More often than not, this date ends up working out just fine. However, because all babies and births are different, this date may change once your baby arrives. I ask that you notify me of your baby's arrival within 24 hours (a quick text from a family member or friend is fine) and if we need to make any adjustments to our scheduled date, we'll do so at that time.

A: I do things differently than most photographers, and that's part of what makes the AKP experience so special! Your session fee includes your experience with me; my planning services, a consultation if you desire, access to the studio wardrobe (over 225 items for mamas, dads, and kiddos!), my exclusive natural light studio, your session time, the Signature processing of the images we created together, and your design and ordering appointment. At your guided design and ordering appointment, you'll view your images in print and I'll help to guide you through selecting the perfect artwork options or digital files for your family.

A: My hope is that we will create family heirlooms such as a beautiful wall gallery or luxurious album, but I know that some clients prefer having just the digital files. The digital files can be purchased on their own, or can be earned by purchasing artwork - the best of both worlds!

A: Yes! I love watching families grow over the years and documenting all of the most precious milestones for them in a cohesive way. I offer memberships for clients who choose to schedule two or more sessions.
