Why Eden Gardens State Park Makes Such Beautiful Photos
Located in Santa Rosa Beach along 30A, Eden Gardens State Park spans 163 acres of peaceful Florida landscape. The crown jewel is a beautifully restored two-story antebellum mansion with white columns and a wraparound porch. It’s the kind of backdrop that makes every photograph feel like it belongs in a frame on the wall — which, honestly, is exactly where it will end up.
Furthermore, the towering live oak trees draped with Spanish moss create the most gorgeous natural canopy. The light that filters through those branches is soft, dappled, and incredibly flattering. Meanwhile, the gardens and open lawn give us plenty of space to move and let the session breathe naturally.
In contrast to a busy beach location, Eden Gardens feels intimate and unhurried. That calm energy makes a real difference — especially with little ones.

Capturing Stunning Eden Gardens State Park Photos
Eden Gardens State Park is open from 8 a.m. until sunset, 365 days a year. The admission fee is $4 per vehicle, payable at the entrance or in advance through the Florida State Parks website. It’s a small fee for a location this stunning.
A couple of things I always tell families ahead of time:
Morning light is lovely here. Unlike beach sessions where golden hour is everything, Eden Gardens photographs beautifully in soft morning light too.
Arrive a few minutes early. Parking and walking to the best spots takes a few minutes, and I want us to start relaxed — not rushed.
Wear light, airy tones. Soft whites, creams, muted greens, and dusty blues photograph beautifully against the garden setting. Once you book, I’ll guide you through styling personally.
What to Expect During Your Eden Gardens Session
Every session I photograph here is relaxed, genuine, and completely guided. You don’t need to know how to pose. You don’t need to worry about the kids cooperating. I take care of all of it.
We’ll explore the grounds together — the mansion porch, the garden paths, the oak canopy. I’ll gently direct you into moments that feel natural, not stiff. Some of the sweetest photographs happen when kids are just being themselves, and I’m always ready for those in-between moments.
