Family photography is about capturing genuine connection, and that happens when everyone feels comfortable and relaxed. As your local Destin family photographer, I understand the rhythm of the Emerald Coast. I know which beaches are quietest at sunset, how the light changes throughout the seasons, and how to read the weather to reschedule if needed. When you book with me, I reserve your entire session day, plus a backup morning, so we have complete flexibility if the weather doesn't cooperate.
My studio is located in Niceville, just minutes from Destin, making it easy for families throughout the Florida Panhandle to reach. I photograph clients from Destin, Fort Walton Beach, Miramar Beach, Santa Rosa Beach, Navarre, and all along 30A at my two favorite beach locations: Henderson Beach State Park and Grayton Beach State Park. For beach sessions, I photograph exclusively at Henderson Beach State Park in Destin and Grayton Beach State Park along 30A. These two locations are my absolute favorites on the Emerald Coast — and honestly, it's hard to beat them. The sugar-white sand, emerald water, and sea oats create that timeless, dreamy backdrop that makes your portraits feel like they belong in a frame the moment they're taken. I'll help you choose which park feels right for your family, and I'll handle every detail from there.

About two weeks after your session, we'll view your beautifully edited gallery together. I'll guide you through designing your custom heirloom artwork, from wall galleries to luxe albums, until your treasures are in your hands.

Just show up and enjoy being together. I'll have outfits ready, and I'll gently guide your family through prompts that bring out genuine laughter and connection rather than stiff poses. This sweet family celebrated their little one's first birthday with beach portraits and a cake smash at their favorite spot at Henderson Beach State Park—complete with the cutest little beach car. As the final session of their Collective Membership, we had built such a wonderful connection over the year. I guided them every step of the way, from what to wear to when the light would be perfect, and you can see that genuine joy shining through in every frame.

The most common thing I hear after a session is some version of "that was so much easier than I expected." And I don't think that happens by accident.
Before we ever meet, we sit down together — virtually or in person — and I get to know your family. Not just the logistics, but the real stuff. Which kid is going through a phase. How you feel about being in front of a camera. What you've always wanted but never quite captured in photos before.
From there, I take care of everything. Wardrobe is handled through my client closet — over 100 pieces including gowns for mom, coordinating options for the whole family, and guidance on what will photograph beautifully together. You don't have to wonder if your outfits will work. They will, because we'll make sure of it before session day arrives.
By the time we meet on the beach or in the studio, you already know me. Your kids have heard my name. You know what to expect and how the day will go. That ease — that genuine relaxation — is exactly what you see in these portraits.

This is exactly why I design sessions the way I do! I never force poses or make kids sit still. Instead, I guide your family through playful prompts and natural interactions that bring out genuine smiles and connection. Some of the sweetest photographs happen when kids are just being themselves—running, laughing, or exploring. Trust me, even the wiggliest toddlers create beautiful moments.
The best thing you can do is keep expectations relaxed and fun. Let your kids know you're going to play at the beach (or in the studio), and avoid phrases like "be good" or "sit still." Well-rested kids photograph better, so plan your session timing around naps if possible. Beyond that, I'll handle everything—wardrobe styling, location planning, and gentle guidance throughout. Just show up ready to enjoy time together.
Absolutely! I love photographing multi-generational families. Extended family sessions capture precious moments between grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins, and everyone who makes your family complete. I'll photograph the full group, then break into smaller groups so everyone gets special portraits. Just let me know who's joining when you book so I can plan timing accordingly.
Most beach sessions take place at Henderson Beach State Park in Destin or Grayton Beach State Park along 30A — both are stunning and offer that classic Emerald Coast look. I also photograph families in Miramar Beach, Fort Walton Beach, and other coastal locations, depending on where you're staying. Studio sessions take place in my cozy Niceville studio, just a few minutes from the Mid-Bay Bridge. I'll help you find the perfect spot for your family's session.
Absolutely — this is one of my favorite things! Many of the families I photograph are visiting from out of state and want to bring a little piece of the Emerald Coast home with them. I'm experienced in coordinating sessions around vacation schedules, and I'll make the whole process as simple and stress-free as possible so your session feels like a natural part of your trip rather than one more thing to plan.
The Emerald Coast is beautiful year-round, but my most popular family session months are March through July and October through November — when the light is golden, the crowds are manageable, and the weather is just right. Fall is especially magical along 30A and at Grayton Beach. I do book up quickly during peak vacation season, so I always recommend reaching out as early as you can.
For spring and summer sessions—especially if you're visiting Destin during peak season—I'd recommend booking two to three months in advance. Fall tends to fill up quickly, too. That said, I occasionally have openings on shorter notice, so it's always worth reaching out even if your trip is coming up soon.
