The Cake Smash Series: Part Three
Providing my clients with baby photography in Destin FL is my favorite thing to do. Your baby’s first year flies by so quickly, and hopefully I was able to capture all important milestones during this fleeting time for you. You’ll plan a cake smash session, of course, but what do you do with those images?
Baby Milestones
The last thing you want to do is having them sit on your hard drive (USB, cloud, etc.) on your computer and forget about the first milestones, their big smile, their tiny toes, the way they crawl or even stand up already and of course the big mess they made while eating their first cake. These are all important milestones I love to capture in my baby photography in Destin FL.
Maybe you don’t want to plaster these images all over your walls, but here are a few ideas on what to do with your cake smash portraits after the session.
1. Designing Birthday Invitations with baby photography in Destin FL
It is so much fun to design sweet invitations for the big day. I loved designing invitations for my own children and I am a pro at that. Lots of clients option to design them trough the shopping cart that is attached to their online gallery once images are purchased. Super short turn-around time and I recommend taking the session four to six weeks before the actual party.
2. Sending Thank You cards after the big party
If you’ve missed the opportunity to book your session in time to use the images for your invitations you can definitely use them for a Thank You card after the party. If you print with my studio we can even leave a little blank space on the back of the card for a little heartfelt handwritten note.
3. Tell The Story In An Heirloom Album (my favorite)
There is nothing better to reflect on the past year by flipping pages through an album. Most of my newborn clients order one from their newborn session and go with a matching smaller one for the cake smash session
4. Hang Them On The Wall During The Big Day
Print your favorite image as a canvas and display it on an easel (hobby lobby) or even create a wall gallery to hang over the Birthday table. A lot of my clients use their purchased proof prints which come with the Bella Box and hang them on twine with little wood pins.
5. Metal Picture For The Bathroom
Hold on, what? Yes, If you book a full one-year session with me and we include a milk bath (for the Ladies) or bubble splash (for the Gentlemen) we can capture a sweet image of your baby in the tub. Fun fact: You get to take home a clean baby.
6. Give The Grandparents Their Favorite Gift EVER
Print some images and frame them in a small frame. They’ll love you forever and ever.
7. Create A Storyboard Collage with baby photography in Destin FL
Seriously my favorite thing to do. I create a collage of the favorite nine images of the session and frame them in a barn wood frame. Such an eye-catcher no-one ever gets tired of.
8. Nursery Wall
Oh, what a fun idea to decorate the nursery with some fun pictures from the first year including a cake smash image.
9. Accordion Book
They’re not available for purchase in my product line, but just ask me, how you can receive a set of these sweet super mini albums to carry in your purse or to gift the Grandparents.
10. Yearly Picture
The one-year picture is usually the second one of a whole wall my clients build year after year. It is so much fun to see how much they change.
